Upon arrival of an order at DistriMedia through a direct web link or a batch process, first an inspection will be carried out to make sure that the ordered products are indeed in stock. After this inspection, the order is being passed on to the internal warehouse management system of DistriMedia and order picking can take place.
In 2016 the error rate for order picking was lower than 0,025% (1 error on 4000 order lines), which gives DistriMedia a place at the top of the Benelux. This process at DistriMedia is completely paperless and based on scanning the article number and the location.
Each order is correctly and solidly packaged and the necessary documents are added to the sending. A final inspection through scanning checks whether the sending is correct and it will be, if necessary, pass through an additional inspection.
At DistriMedia, each order passes several checks through scanning.
